PCNLC to Celebrate Charter Night on January 19th


Texas (Plano) – Plano Collin Nepalese Lions Club (PCNLC), a newly chartered Lions Club, will be celebrating its Charter Night on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 from 5 pm to 10 pm. The program will be held at Roma Palace Banquet Hall in Garland, Texas. PCNLC was chartered on October 18th of 2018. 
 
According to the Club’s Charter President Lion Prakash Gautam, Immediate Past International Director Sam Lindsey will be the keynote speaker of the event. He further said that MD2 Council Chair John Landrum, District Governor Keith Murray, Immediate Past District Governor Henry White, along with some Lions Leaders from District 2X-1 will be among the several dignitaries in attendance. Leaders and volunteers from other Lions Clubs in the District will also be there to congratulate members of the new club. PCNLC is sponsored by Dallas Everest Lions Club – a Club that was established some 16 years ago. Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest humanitarian service club organization.
 
Recently elected Texas State Representative Honorable Terry Meza will be present in the event to extend her best wishes to the club. Proclamation, which is received from Plano Mayor Honorable Harry LaRosiliere and the Plano City Council, will be read during the event. In addition, leaders of some leading Nepali Community organizations will attend the ceremony to congratulate and wish the club for its bright future. 
 
The newly chartered Lions club has been active, in the community since its establishment in October 2018, by organizing Blood Drive as well as participating and volunteering in Keep Allen Beautiful Project of the City of Allen and the Toy Drive Project of Operation Homefront. 
 
Along with a delicious buffet, a fantastic silent auction, and display of Nepalese items; the members will be inducted in the night. Leos, Lions, and Community volunteers will entertain the guests with their individual and group performances. The Club has appealed to all the service-minded people to come and enjoy the night together!
